Monroe County Hospital (MCH) Auxiliary members play a huge role in the success and customer service at MCH. The Auxiliary members are our ambassadors of good will as they greet our patients and family members, deliver patient mail, juice, ice chips, and pediatric gifts. They operate the MCH gift shop and sponsor a pre-school hand washing education program and tour for the area schools. MCH Auxiliary generously donates their time and energy to the success of our hospital.
The time and energy our Volunteers bring is valuable to the entire hospital team whether they are delivering the mail to our patients, greeting visitors. or woking in the Gift Shop. We believe the work our Volunteers achieve much match the same quality of excellence expected of our physicians, nurses, and entire hospital staff.
The Auxiliary holds many fundraisers throughout the year including bath, body & book sales, uniform sales and our annual "Tree of Love." Proceeds raised throughout the year are given to MCH in order to help purchase needed equipment. Over time, our Volunteers have been able to help purchase equipment needed for the Pharmacy, Emergency Department, and Surgery. All proceeds raised help fund the needs of MCH. The "Tree of Love" is an annual fundraiser. A celebration is held every December at Monroe County Hospital. " Tree of Love" "In Memory" and "In Honor" names are read by Board members and Administrative Officers of the hospital. After the reading of all names, the lighting of the Christmas tree on the front lawn follows. For more information about the "Tree of Love," or if you would like to make a donation. please call (251) 743-7299 or (251) 743-7516.
