Sherry Williams named Angel Among Us

Sherry Williams, Patient Registrar at Monroe County Hospital, has been selected by Custom Learning Systems (CLS) to receive the “Angels Among Us” award at the annual HealthCare Service Excellence Conference (HCSEC) in Nashville, Tennessee.
CLS requested nominations of those who had an extremely touching and/or inspiring story to tell. Sherry described her work history at Monroe County Hospital (MCH) to employees and volunteers who attended a series of customer service workshops at the hospital. She relayed her fear of hospitals and how she overcame that during her early employment days at MCH; her advancement as a patient registrar in the emergency and admitting departments at MCH; her selection as a Service Excellence Advisor at MCH, responsible for teaching service excellence to the employees and volunteers at MCH; and culminating with her selection to speak at the upcoming HCSEC national conference.
Sherry was selected from nominees across the nation. She will present her story to attendees at the General Session of the HCSEC in the ballroom of the Sheraton Hotels and Resorts on October 29, 2009.
