MCH's Auxiliary celebrated Volunteer week April 19th-25th. "Our auxiliary is open and willing to do a lot of things." stated CEO Vince DiFranco. "They are a great liason between the hospital and our patients. Sometimes patients are more comfortable talking to them. They are a friendly face and have a friendly smile for our patients. It's an opportunity for them to give something back to the community."
The Auxiliary held it's annual business meeting and luncheon on Wednesday, April 22. The auxilary presented the hospital with a check for $33,000. This money was raised by the Auxiliary throught memorials from the Tree of Love, The Gift Shop, and other fund raisers held during the year by the auxiliary. Auxiliary members were given a gift for Volunteer Week, and also were presented service hour pens by Mrs. Billie Bayles. The longest serving members, according to Mrs. Judy Croft are Joann Deas and Betty Manning who have been ont he auxiliary for 38 years.
