Open Admissions Policy
It is the policy of Monroe County Hospital to admit and treat all persons without regard to race, color, sex, handicap, national origin or religious creed. Admissions requirements and assignments to hospital facilities are the same for all persons. There are no distinctions in eligibility for receiving any patient care services. Hospital facilities are available to all patients and visitors. Individuals and organizations having occasion to refer patients for admission or recommend Monroe County Hospital are advised to do so within the hospital’s policy to provide quality healthcare to all persons.
About Your Admission
Your admission to Monroe County Hospital was requested by a physician with admission privileges. During the admission process, you will be asked many questions by our admitting personnel. We appreciate your cooperation in providing the necessary information. If time permits, we may contact you at home to obtain preadmission information and discuss financial arrangements. You will find it time saving and convenient to provide this information whenever possible.
Unless you are experiencing an emergency, you should plan to arrive at our admitting office between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. If you have already completed preadmission and made arrangements concerning insurance and financial matters, you will minimize the time required for your admission.
We will request some personal information--data that is required by law for our vital records. This information will enable us to treat you with better understanding. The information you provide will be held in strict confidence. |  |
