ARP Named Lead Corporate Sponsor Alabama River Pulp is once again the lead corporate sponsor for the Monroe Health Foundation’s annual fundraiser scheduled for April 24, featuring the Tip Tops band. Proceeds from the April Motown Madness event will purchase a sentinel node seeker for the hospital’s surgery department. This impressive piece of technology will assist MCH surgeons in locating and removing sentinel nodes, thus saving unaffected lymph nodes. Alabama River Pulp’s Bob Amend, who serves on the Monroe Health Foundation Board, and Kenneth Fairly, who serves on the Monroe County Hospital Board, present a $5000 check to hospital administrator Chris Johns and Foundation Development Director Pattie Welch. “We are so appreciative of the role that Alabama River Pulp plays in helping us offer the most up to date technology at Monroe County Hospital,” said Johns. “They are truly a great community partner.”
