Tri-County Region Receives Kid One Transport Service MCH CEO Chris Johns recently unveiled the Kid One Tri-County Vehicle at a ceremony at Monroe County Hospital! Thanks to a donation from MCH and surrounding hospitals, this van is serving Monroe, Escambia, and Conecuh Counties in support of Alabama's medically ill children. The vehicle will also transport expectant mothers to doctors' appointments. Monroe County has 989 kids in homes with no cars and 1,967 in a home with only one car. Tom Fraser, pictured far left, has been hired as the Tri-County Kid One Driver. He is a former employee of Alabama Power Company and a south Alabama resident. Pictured in the middle is Kid One founder, Russell Jackson. Jackson is a retired firefighter who established the Kid One concept after unsuccessfully attempting to save a two year old from a fire.
