Matt Moorer Hired As New Physical Therapy Director Monroe County Hospital is proud to welcome Matt Moorer back to his hometown as the new director of MCH Physical Therapy. Matt is the son of Doug and Martha Moorer, owners of Doug Moorer Business Machines. Matt’s wife, Krista, is also a registered physical therapist and they have a toddler named Anna Kate. Matt graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1994. His major was Athletic Training. In 1998, he completed a second BS degree with a major in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Matt is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys a good game of golf. This Monroeville native joins MCH from Restore Therapy in Montgomery where he was the Director of Operations in Training. He was previously employed as a registered Physical Therapist for American Family Care for the Montgomery division. He has also worked for Jackson Hospital in Montgomery as Director of Physical Therapy for their outpatient clinic in Prattville. “I am really excited about raising Anna Kate in Monroeville,” said Moorer. “This is an excellent opportunity for me do something that I am passionate about, Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.”
