Dr. Pamala Gibbs Joins MCH Medical Staff/Lane Medical Group
After years of being a nurse, Dr. Pamala Gibbs answered a call from God to begin the long process of becoming a physician. “I believe God calls each of us, and either we follow Him or He continues to seek us out,” she says. Dr. Gibbs decided to follow His calling.
Joining Lane Medical Group’s practice, Dr. Gibbs is the newest addition to the MCH medical staff. An internal medicine specialist, she practiced in Atmore prior to making her move north.
“My favorite part of my medical practice has always been my…patients,” says Dr. Gibbs. “I decided to…join the MCH medical team to expand some of [my] skills, and my family and I are looking forward to becoming a part of the Monroe County community.”
Dr. Gibbs’ husband, Bob, is a full-time farmer who is sure to enjoy the rich agriculture in the Monroe County area. Their 6-year-old daughter, Caroline, is excited about the move also. Before moving to the Monroeville area, the Gibbs family attended church at Annie Jones Methodist Church in Walnut Hill, Fla.
“I think there is a real need for people [to practice] rural medicine, and I am proud to be part of meeting this need,” says Dr. Gibbs. “Most importantly, it is great to practice medicine so close to my hometown of Walnut Hill! |
