MCH Welcomes Dr. William Rogers
Monroe County Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. William S. Rogers, DPM, to the outpatient medical staff.
Dr. Rogers specialty is podiatry. “ Most podiatrists treat all problems of the foot for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics,” said Dr. Rogers. “We commonly treat heel pain/ spurs, ingrown/ fungal nails, diabetic foot problems, ulcers, bunion, foot deformities, and foot trauma.” Over the past two years, Dr. Rogers has practiced in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Recently, he opened his own practice in Mobile and has clinics in Bay Minette, Grove Hill, and Chatom. In a recent interview Dr. Rogers says that the most enjoyable part of his practice is his patients and their trust in him.
The podiatrist completed his residency in podiatric surgery at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa. While there he trained in advanced podiatric surgical residency comprised of traditional forefoot and midfoot training with additional training in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction including trauma. Dr. Rogers received a Doctor of Podiatric from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center – College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Rogers attended college and completed his undergraduate work at the University of South Alabama on academic scholarship where he graduated Alpha Lambda Delta National Honorary Society and Phi Eta Sigma National Honorary Society. Dr. Rogers also holds membership in the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.
He chose the Monroeville area for an outpatient clinic because of the need to have a well-trained foot specialist to care for those in our area with foot problems.
Dr. Rogers enjoys spending time with his wife of ten years and their three boys fishing and floundering at Dauphin Island. Traveling with his family and reading non-fiction are other ways he relaxes.
His outpatient clinic will open Friday July 16. After the 16th, he will be available the first and third Friday mornings of each month at Monroe County Hospital. For more information about Dr. Rogers’ practice or to schedule an appointment, please call toll free 1-866-795-3338 or 251-661-3332. Appointments can be scheduled twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
